Growing up, my mom always used canned spaghetti sauce until she realized how easy it was to make it herself. This recipe is a spin off of how she used to make it, with my own alterations to make it my own. This pasta is great with a protein of your choice or just by itself.

Step 1
Cook pasta based on instructions on the box.

Cook onion in large pot with oil until soft and caramelized.

Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot. Stir constantly on a med heat.

Step 4
Set the sauce off the the side and drain the pasta, keeping a cup if the pasta water and adding it to the sauce.
