12 ouncesfresh cranberries
or frozen
½ cuporange juice
1zest of orange
3 tablespoonsmaple syrup
or to taste
1 teaspoonvanilla extract

Step 1
Add the orange juice, cranberries, and maple syrup to a medium saucepan and cook over medium-high heat. Once the cranberries start popping, reduce the heat to medium and stir frequently. Pop the cranberries with a fork as desired. Once the sauce is the desired consistency, mix in the orange zest and cinnamon. Add water or more juice as needed.
Step 2
Refrigerate leftovers for up to one week. To make chia seed jam, add 1 teaspoon chia seeds for every one-half cup cranberry sauce, and about two tablespoons hot water. Adjust the amount of water gradually to taste. Serve with oatmeal or nondairy yogurt.
