Chicken & Bacon Macaroni Cheese Bake

A Twist on a normal macaroni cheese, this meal is perfect for all the family. It’s quick and easy to make, it’s filling and can be made in large or small sizes so perfect for big or small family’s.

Instructions

Step 1
Cook off the macaroni in a saucepan then drain and leave to one side.
Step 2
In same saucepan fry off bacon lardons
Step 3
When lardons are cooked melt butter
Step 4
Add flour and mix until you form a roux
Step 5
Slowly add milk and Continuously stir until you get a thick sauce
Step 6
Add pre cooked chicken and 3/4 of your grated cheeses. ( cheddar and Leicester ) stir until cheese has melted.
Step 7
Take off heat and and your macaroni mix well
Step 8
Transfer to a baking Dish, top with left over cheese some grated mozzarella and bread crumbs.
Step 9
Bake in the oven at 200c / Gas 6 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
