If you’ve never made bread, start here. Very simple recipe that makes a great focaccia. Soft and chewy with a crispy top and bottom crust.

Instructions
Step 1
1. In this order: add water, yeast, sugar, oil and flour into mixing bowl with hook attachment.

2. Mix speed 2 for 8mins.

3. Add salt

4. Mix speed 4 for 4mins.
Step 5
5. Remove dough from mixer and shape into a ball.
Step 6
6. Spread oil on a sheet pan and place dough in the center of the pan.
Step 7
7. Rub a little oil onto dough and then using your fingertips press down into dough to flatten and stretch it into a rectangle.
Step 8
8. Drizzle olive oil over dough and allow to proof till double in size.
Step 9
9. Once proofed, use your fingertips to carefully press into the dough creating small indents. These indents will allow your olive oil to soak into the bread while baking.
Step 10
10. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
Step 11
11. Bake 450 until golden brown.
Step 12
12. Remove from oven and transfer focaccia onto a cooling rack.
