Instructions
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl
Step 2
Mix all the wet ingredients - milk, egg, butter and yeast
Step 3
If using a stand mixer, mix all your dry ingredients using the dough hook, gradually add the wet ingredients
Step 4
Make the dough by mixing for around 5 mins on medium to high speed, until the dough starts to leave the sides
Beat more if needed
Step 5
Grease a large bowl with sunflower or vegetable oil, put the dough in. Cover with cling film and prove for 2 hrs
Step 6
Take the dough out on generously floured surface and roll until it’s about 1 inch thick or to your desired thickness.
Step 7
Cut out the donuts with biscuit cutters (big and small).
Step 8
Place all the donuts on a floured tray, brush with melted butter. Cover and rest for 45 mins.
Step 9
Brush the base of the air fryer basket with a little butter, place 4 donuts at a time. Bake them at 180 C for 5 mins. (I have a Ninja Multicooker which took 5 mins. Cooking time May very depending on your air fryer)
Step 10
Take the donuts out, brush them little butter and coat them with caster sugar. Enjoy nice and warm donuts, guilt free 😜
