Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C). In a pan, add water and butter.
Step 2
Once boiling, add the flour and stir together until it forms a ball.
Step 3
Remove from heat et add beaten eggs one by one. Make sure each egg is well mixed in before adding the next one.
Step 4
Add pepper and diced Emmenthal. Mix.
Step 5
Create and dispose little balls of dough on a baking sheet using 2 table spoons. Make sure you leave enough space between the balls as they will grow while cooking.
Step 6
Put in the oven for 30 minutes. At the end of cooking, turn off the oven and leave the gougères inside for a few minutes.
