Instructions
Step 1
If making own broth, add bones to large soup pot and cover with water (about 12-16 cups). Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Strain out the bones.

If cooking using pre-made broth, add to pot and warm over medium-low heat.
Step 3
Add barley to pot and let sit for about 5 minutes so the barley begins to cook.
Step 4
Chop vegetables and shred meat. Add to pot and simmer for 1 hour or until veggies are tender.

Add salt to taste.
