Instructions
Step 1
Heat oven to 180C (fan)
Step 2
Butter a small baking dish (a round or oval) with a little of the butter.
Step 3
Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds, stack them in piles and pack into the dish starting from the outside, building a trail around the dish and then into the middle.
Step 4
In bowl mix together heavy cream, melted butter, salt, pepper, paprika and basil.
Step 5
Pour it all over the potatoes
Step 6
Cover with the lid or aluminum foil and bake for 50 minutes covered and 10 minutes uncovered.
Step 7
Garnish with parmesan cheese and thyme leaves.
