¼ cupsun-dried tomatoes

4 cupschicken broth
½ teaspooncelery seed
½ teaspooncurry powder
¼ teaspoonwhite pepper
1 cupheavy cream
½ teaspoongarlic powder
½ teaspoononion powder
½ teaspoondried oregano
1 teaspoonfresh thyme leaves
2 tablespoonsfresh basil

⅛ teaspooncayenne pepper
⅛ teaspoonallspice
1 tablespooncorn starch
Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 5 minutes, until soft and translucent.
Step 2
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the pot and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the tomato paste and sun-dried tomatoes to the pot and stir well to combine.
Step 4
Pour in the chicken broth and stir in the celery seed, curry powder, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, basil, cayenne pepper, and allspice.
Step 5
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
Step 6
Remove the pot from the heat and use an immersion blender to puree the soup until it is smooth.
Step 7
Add one spoon of corn starch to one spoon of warm soup. Stir until all corn starch is dissolved. Add back to soup
Step 8
Stir in the heavy cream and return the pot to low heat. Cook the soup for an additional 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
Step 9
Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs, if desired.
