Step 1
1° Rinse the turkey.
Step 2
2° Boil 1 gallon of water and all ingredients other than the turkey.
Step 3
3° Cool the water, place in a bag, with the turkey and the other gallon of water. Refrigerator overnight.
Step 4
4° Remove the turkey from the brine and let it rest for 1 hour in a roasting pan.
Step 5
5° Rinse the turkey with cold water and pat it dry. Preheat the oven to 325F.
Step 6
6° Place the turkey in the oven and roast the turkey for 130 minutes.
Step 7
7° Baste the turkey every 45 minutes. Check the temperature of the breast. The desired temperature is 175F. 8° Let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes.
