Simple butter cookies
These are my absolute favourite cookies, they're so simple and easy. I love dipping them in hot tea, it brings up childhood memories of comfy moments.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350F.
OvenPreheat
Step 2
Slice the butter into small pieces. Add all the ingredients to the bowl. If you have a stand mixer mix at low speed. If you don’t have a stand mixer knead with your hands in the bowl or on a chopping board until lump free. Dust the chopping board and the rolling pin with flour. Separate the dough into two parts and flatten one with the rolling pin. Cut the cookies with the cutter(s) that you have in the shapes that you prefer. If you want to add jam, put it on top of one cookie and cover it with another cookie, like a sandwich. With the leftover dough, make a new ball and roll it again. Put parchment paper on the tray in order to cover the entire surface. Place the cookies on the tray and bake for approximately 10 minutes, until they become blonde. Repeat the process with the other ball of dough… and enjoy!
