Instructions

Step 1
Remove the steak from the refrigerator place the meat on a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. Leave the steak for 40-45 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat the cast iron pan over high heat for about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Place the steak into the cast iron pan, and cook for about 4 minutes.
Step 4
Flip the steak, and cook for 4 minutes.
Step 5
Low heat, add butter, garlic, and thyme. Scoop the melted butter with a spoon on the steak repeatedly. I did this for about a minute. It depends on how you like to cook.
Step 6
Remove the steak from the pan, and rest for about 5 minutes.
Step 7
Slice the steak, and serve.
