Instructions
Step 1
Cream butter. Add sugar gradually, then egg yolk. Beat well.
Step 2
Sift dry ingredients together. Add to butter mixture with milk and vanilla. Mix well.
Step 3
Divide dough in half.
Step 4
Add food coloring or chocolate to one part and mix until blended.
Step 5
Roll both halves into rectangles on floured surface. Refrigerate 30 minutes to harden.
Step 6
Place chocolate/colored dough over white dough. Roll from long end tightly like a jelly roll. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
Step 7
Slice thin and lay on buttered cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
