Instructions
Step 1
Stir together in saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and continue to stir until sugar dissolves and mixture is reduced to 1½ cups. Cool to room temperature. Place in sealed container. Keeps in refrigerator indefinitely.
Step 2
Note: make flavored syrups for beverages. Some ideas include, rosemary, lemon verbena, chili pepper, Worcestershire, Tabasco, and lemongrass. Try sweet-hot, savory, bittersweet, etc.
