Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl combine 290g flour, yeast and 160g warm water. Mix well.
Step 2
Cover with cling film or kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 2-3 hours.
Step 3
When dough is ready combine the remaining warm water with the salt.
Step 4
Make a well in the middle and add warm water.
Step 5
Mix well all together, then add the remaining flour and knead the dough.
Step 6
Start kneading in a bowl, then transfer to the table and continue for 8-10 minutes, or until dough is elastic and smooth.
Step 7
Transfer dough to the clean large bowl greased with vegetable oil.
Step 8
Cover with the kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5-2 hours.
Step 9
Dust the kitchen counter with the flour and transfer the dough to it.
Step 10
Shape the ball with your hands, then transfer it to the baking tray, lined with parchment.
Step 11
Cover with a kitchen towel and leave it in a warm place for the final rise. (1-2hour)
Step 12
When ready, dust the bread with flour and make a cut.
Step 13
Bake in preheated oven at 200C for 40-50 minutes. Place an ovenproof bowl with the water on the bottom of the oven to create steam.
Step 14
When the bread is ready, cover it with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 1hour.
