Step 1
Soak the feta in water ideally overnight or min 4 hours. Then drain.
Step 2
Steam the bag of spinach.
Step 3
Dry fry the frozen onions in a big pot with the garlic, nutmeg, dill, and flat leaf parsley.
Step 4
Add the cooked spinach and drain the liquid from the mixture.
Step 5
Crumble the feta into the mixture and add the beaten egg. Put the mixture to one side.
Step 6
Melt the butter in the the microwave and add to the oil.
Step 7
The ingredients make 2 pies. Pack of filo for bottom and one for the top of each pie. You brush the tin with the butter mixture and layer each piece of filo brushing each piece with the butter mixture.
Step 8
When you finish the bottom layer add approx 1” of filling to the baking tray. Then do the same for the top. Brush with butter mixture.
Step 9
Cook each pie on 200 deg C (fan over) for 20-30 mins until golden.
