The basic iced tea recipe is very tasty. There are lots of options for variations with different types and quality of tea, as well as the addition of different juices, herbs and spices. Serving size is 1 pint.

Instructions
Step 1
Bring 2 ½ cups water to the boil. Add tea bags, remove from heat and steep 15 minutes. Remove tea bags without squeezing. Add 2 1/2 cups cold water. Pour into 2 quart jug, add sugar and juice, and add water to fill. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Adjust sugar and juice to taste as needed.

Lemon Ginger – add sliced ginger to the boil

Ginger Honey – keep lemon, sweeten with honey instead of sugar
Step 5
Fruity – substitute all or some of the tea with fruity herb tea bags and / or add fruit juice concentrate instead of lemon or lime.
Step 6
Spice -- add a few whole spices to the boil. Strain out with the tea bags after steeping.
