Pomodoro Tomato Sauce
A simple classic tomato sauce that can be used in just about anything. This makes about 2 Liters of sauce. Make it in bulk and freeze.

Ingredients
8 servings

60mlolive oil

0.5white onion

2cloves garlic

1 Tbsptomato paste

500 gramstomatoes
800 gramscanned pomodoro tomatoes

1bouillon cube

1fresh bay leaves

fresh thyme
Instructions
Step 1
To a saucepan add olive oil and set heat to medium. Add finely chopped onion, crushed garlic and tomato paste. Cook until onion is translucent.

Step 2
Add the remaining ingredients to the pot. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Taste and season.
Step 3
Blend if you want an emulsified sauce. Season to taste and let cool. Makes 1.6L/7 cups
