Instructions

Step 1
start with moving your frozen pie crust to the fridge to thaw if you haven’t already, or prepare your homemade crust in its dish and set aside.

preheat your oven to 350F

in a large bowl, mix your eggs, and sugar together very well. i like to use about a tbs less than a cup of white sugar, and then replace it with the 1 tbs of brown.

once it’s mixed fully, add in your butter (try to avoid making it scorching to ensure your eggs don’t cook), make sure to also keep stirring as you add your butter to avoid cooking your eggs.

next add in your karo syrup and your vanilla. mix well.

add your pecans to the crust, then pour the syrup mixture on top, filling the rest of the crust.

bake for 55-65 minutes. once you see your pecan pie rise up, you’ll let it cook until it sinks back down a little, then you’ll know it is ready. be sure to let your pie fully cool so it can slice neatly. serve and enjoy!
