Step 1
Trim the broccoli and cut into stalks. Bring large pot to boil. Meanwhile place large skillet over medium heat. Add oil and garlic to skillet. Add broccoli to pot. When garlic begins to brown, remove broccoli with slotted spoon and add to skillet stirring well to not burn the garlic. Cook approximately 10 minutes until broccoli is tender, yet still holding its shape. Remove from heat and season aggressively with black pepper and timidly with salt. Serve hot or at room temperature.
