Kahlua adds a lot of flavor. It's somewhat bland without. So if your making this non- alcoholic, I'd spice it up more with maybe mace, cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.

Step 1
Warm milk + salt on Med heat to simmer

Whisk eggs and sugar
Step 3
Slowly add the milk to the eggs but dont cook them

Pour back into pan and heat gently to 160-165, stirring and scraping the bottom.
Step 5
Pour through a fine mesh strainer.
Don't press the bits through.
Step 6
Chill in fridge overnight. Or 3 hours.
Next day
Step 7
Whip the cream to soft peaks.
Step 8
Mix the whipped cream into the custard, along with the rest of the ingredients. *If you add a full cup of liquor use another quarter cup whipped cream.
