Instructions
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 200C

Step 2
In a large bowl rub together flour, baking powder, and butter. Add sugar and mix.
Step 3
Slowly add liquid and stir. Mixture should hold together and not be too sticky.
Step 4
Turn onto a floured surface and knead. Roll out to 1cm thick. Cut out with pastry cutters or a jam jar.
Step 5
Put on baking tray and bake for 10 mins, or until top is pale and scones have risen.
