Instructions

Step 1
Heat a Dutch oven or large stock pot over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef and onion until browned. Drain off grease.
Step 2
Add seasonings, cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water to pot. Bring to a boil.
Step 3
Reduce heat and cover, simmer about 30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
Step 4
Meanwhile prepare biscuits or corn bread if you choose, according to their packages.
Step 5
Prepare optional noodles, rice, or potatoes as desired.
