Pressure Cooker Honey-Garlic Chicken

Moist, tender, chicken thighs in a savory and sweet honey garlic sauce is made in a pressure cooker. Top it with sesame seeds and serve with rice for a quick and easy kid-friendly dinner. The pressure cooker helps the chicken thighs really absorb the flavors of the sauce. Even your pickiest eaters will enjoy this dish. And since it's all made in your pressure cooker, there will be hardly any cleanup! Dinner is served in just about 45 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onion and sesame seeds.

Instructions

Step 1
Season chicken with salt and black pepper.
Step 2
Heat oil in inner steel pot of pressure cooker set to Sauté on Normal. Cook chicken in hot oil until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Press Cancel.
Step 3
Stir soy sauce, ketchup, honey, and garlic together in a small bowl; pour over chicken. Add ¾ cup water and stir.
Step 4
Lock pressure cooker lid in place. Set steam vent to Sealing. Select Pressure Cook (Manual) and cook for 12 minutes on High pressure.
Step 5
Set steam vent to Venting to quick-release pressure.
Step 6
Transfer chicken to a plate.
Step 7
Stir cornstarch with 1½ tablespoons water to form a slurry; stir briskly into the sauce remaining in the pot until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 8
Serve chicken with sauce.
