Preheat oven to 375

Step 2
Cook broccoli and pasta to 3 minutes less than al dente in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add onion and cook 2 minutes. Add flour and cook 1 minute.
Step 4
Whisk in milk and broth, increase heat to medium-high and continue whisking until it boils. Cool until sauce is smooth and thick, about 7-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
Step 5
Add the broccoli and pasta and stir well. Pour into 13x9 baking dish and top with bread crumbs and parmesan.
Step 6
Bake for 18-20 minutes then increase oven to broil and cook for 2 minutes until breadcrumbs are golden. Be careful not to burn.
