Instructions

Step 1
In a 6-qt Instant Pot, mix in the rice and split peas. Add the broth and seasonings.
Step 2
I used frozen chicken in this recipe.
Step 3
Place the chicken on top of the rice mixture and seal the lid, making sure valve is in the closed position.
Step 4
Cook on high pressure for 15 to 18 minutes. Allow to naturally release pressure for about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Make sure pressure valve is down before opening the pot.
Step 6
Remove chicken and shred. Place back in the mixture and mix well.
Step 7
Serve with cornbread and enjoy!
