Chicken, kale & mushroom pot pie

Delicious. Very simple and easily customisable with leeks vs mushrooms etc I doubled it and would have added much more chicken (personal preference). Will definitely make it again. Also loved using the app on my phone. Wish there were videos for each stage as I felt the sauce needed a bit more cornstarch once I had doubled it.

Didn't have any Creme fraiche so used a bit of gruyere and some milk and doubled the cornstarch. Didn't have any pastry either (it was the end of the month!) so topped it with mashed potato and a bit of grated gruyere.

Added one shredded carrot for colour and texture, and I'm glad I did. Next time, I would double the cornstarch as the sauce component was extremely watery. Delicious meal, tender chicken, will try again but made individual portions.

Nice chicken pie. Use cavolo nero instead of standard kale and worked well. Extra dollop of cream and plenty of pepper.

Really yum. Added salt and pepper and a bit of extra cornflower slurry to thicken. I’d either serve in a ramekin, add a base, or serve with mash next time as the filling is quite thin, even with the extra thickener. Great flavour and easy though; I’ll definitely make it again with the above changes soon!
