Step 1
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, approximately 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken broth and cream, then bring the mixture to a boil. Add the pasta, ensuring it is fully submerged in the liquid, and let it return to a low boil. Cook the pasta covered, following the package instructions. To prevent sticking, occasionally run a wooden spoon or spatula along the bottom of the pan.
Step 3
During the last 5 minutes of pasta cooking, add the broccoli and seasonings. Cover the skillet and continue cooking until everything reaches your desired level of doneness.
Step 4
Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the cheddar cheese until it is fully melted, coating the pasta and broccoli.
Step 5
Taste the dish and adjust any seasonings as needed. Serve hot and you can garnish with parmesan, chili flakes and protein of your choice. Enjoy!
