Easy Pasta Sauce

So good. I'd eat this again (and again). The daughter who wants us to get the onion out of everything (even fried onions) ate this. Unblended. (I didn't add pepper flakes and sugar, and I made it with passata.)

Great base for a sauce. I didn't use onions since I didn't have any on hand.

We enjoyed it. Would absolutely make this again.

I used powdered onion an garlic this time just bc I didn't receive them but was still so good and my husband isn't a fan of pasta sauce

Mom puts in sugar, but if she doubles the recipe she only put single serving in

I love this sauce. I would recommend using whole peeled tomatoes instead of crushed/diced etc. It has better flavor, I crush them myself in the pan after they've simmered a little. Alternatively, you can blitz them in a food processor or blender.

Very simple and easy. Make sure your onions are FINELY diced. I did try another commenters suggestion the second time where I used soy sauce instead of salt. Very tasty.

Really good sauce for as simple as it is! My young daughter who doesn't usually like tomato sauce happily topped spaghetti and meatballs with this sauce. I used diced tomatoes, added a little bit more butter, 2-3 tsp of soy sauce instead of salt, and 1 tbsp of tomato paste. The sauce looked like salsa with the finely chopped onions, so I pureed it when it was done simmering. Come to think of it, my daughter may just prefer smooth sauces.

Warm oil until nice and runny, add onions, garlic and tomatoes, Sautee/ cook/ simmer whatever until kinda Golden. Meanwhile brown ground beef in another pan, add salt and spices. Then combine into onion pot. Add tomatoes sauce from can, add some water to make it a little liquidy. Boil then cover and lower heat and let simmer. The longer the better. Add various spices and salt and even brown sugar to taste. The sugar makes the sauce less tart

I added 1 can(14 oz.) of tomato sauce.
