Machanka
Instructions
Cook:3h
Belarusian cuisine is essentially dominated by three ingredients - potatoes, pork and mushrooms. Traditional main courses without at least one of these three ingredients are almost unthinkable. It is therefore not surprising that at least two of them are utilised in Machanka. Traditionally, you can bring the missing potatoes into play by serving up Draniki (a mixture of potato pancakes and pancakes). The Belarusian version of Machanka differs from that of other countries in that it is more of a stew than a soup. It also does not usually contain sauerkraut.
