Chocolate Chip Sourdough Scones Recipe

These are tasty. I sub out eggs for apple sauce and sub buttermilk for the heavy cream. They turned out even better!

Variation: Substituted ½ cup white chocolate chips and ½ cup dried cranberries. Made 2 6-inch rounds and cut into sixths to make 12 smaller scones. Baked for 12 minutes-bottoms got a little overdone
