Slow Cooker Apple Butter

So good and easy to do!

Easy way to use up the apple harvest! Can decrease sugar and brown sugar by 1/4 cup each and add a half cup of red hots. So delicious!

I used fuji apples and it turned out well! Only cooked half the recipe and that was more than enough. Would be interested to see how mixing in or completely using Granny Smith apples would affect the taste because it is on the sweet side.

Made for a cookie recipe that needed apple butter. It took a long time but turned out amazing and has an intense apple flavor. It is quite sweet, so I might add a higher ratio of granny smith next time to balance it a little more. Made 4 jars, cookies and plenty to spare.

I made these for Christmas gifts for the ladies group I belong to. They loved it! Will be doing it again really soon.

Takes a little while for it to cook but definitely worth it! Great for gifts around the holiday season too. A full batch will make a lot
