Easy Chicken Alfredo Penne Recipe by Tasty

I added broccoli and used less milk and regular Italian seasoning instead of fresh herbs and shells instead of penne and canned chicken (not my family's favorite but I forgot to thaw the breasts). It came together quick and I am proud to have made the sauce from scratch.

My kids picky and he loved it! Would recommend and will be making often. Would have taken a pic but we couldn't wait after testing sauce 😂

Used rotisserie chicken and added red pepper flakes for a bit of a kick. Found the sauce got very thick, but adding a little more milk made it just right.

I did as the comments said and decreased the flour, turned out to be the perfect consistency, added a few mushrooms for a slight savory flavor, I wouldn’t recommend leaving it out too long before serving as it dries out with time. Also i suggest mixing the flour with a little bit of milk before pouring it in as my flour clumped.

Used olive oil in place of butter and whole wheat flour

1. Add less flour as it can get too thick. And cook the flour well so there are no clumps and the flour flavour goes away. *garlic may burn, so keep flame low initially* 2. Squeeze lemon in the sauce at the end, in the pan. 3. Watch the pepper, can get too much. 4. Sauce can get thick, adding more milk works. 5. For a creamier sauce add more cheese. 6. Can add dried parsley instead of fresh. Or Italian seasoning.

Use less flour then it calls for to avoid a pure gravy
