for pressure cooking

1 inchginger

1green chillies
or 1 to 2 serrano peppers

2 tablespoonsbutter
+ 1 tablespoon oil, or 3 tablespoons butter

½ teaspooncumin seeds

¾ cuponions
finely chopped, or 150 grams onions, or 1 large onion

1 cuptomatoes
finely chopped, or 250 grams tomatoes, or 3 medium or 2 large tomatoes

1 teaspooncoriander powder
ground coriander

¼ teaspoonred chili powder
or cayenne pepper or hot paprika

¼ teaspoonturmeric powder
ground turmeric

1 pinchasafoetida
hing, optional

¼ teaspoongaram masala powder
1 ½ cupsrajma stock
the water which was used to cook the beans, or fresh water
