Best Beef Birria and Birria Tacos

This was a very straightforward and simple recipe, it just requires some time and forethought. I will definitely make it again. It’s the best quesabirria recipe I’ve tried so far. The meat was very tender and fall apart.

I have never had birria before but this was so good! I loved everything about it. I followed the recipe exactly and only subbed a tomato for the carrot. I also used a Dutch oven instead of a slow cooker and the time to get the meat tender was only 3 hours. Can’t praise this enough, I will definitely make it again!

Without a doubt, it's my favorite thing to cook. It makes so many tacos, and every bite is just as good or better than the first. When I make this it's like winning the lottery family starts stopping by just to get some tacos.

We skipped the short ribs and just used the beef - it was still so good!

I really liked this recipe. I ended up making the tacos and they were a hit at dinner. My personal preference would be to also have some "fresher" ingredients (tomatoes maybe) as it was a bit heavy but I would definitely try it again.

Instead of carrots, I did tomatoes and it was more flavorful and season the meat and add the seasoning to the water makes it 10 times better!

I left out the carrots because it made it sweet. Added double the chili peppers.

Don’t get impatient when tacos are pan frying. Let it get crispy before turning over or closing up.

Wow!! The beef was so tender and the sauce/oils added amazing flavor to the tortillas while making the quesatacos.

Made it for our Sunday family dinner!! I mixed chicken breast and beef sirloin. I didn’t add any oil, or salt to the consommé. But I did add extra spices to it like cinnamon, and coriander powder and chopped parsley. After flaking the meat, I boiled it in the consommé and drained it from the sauce to add flavor :) it was great. Everyone loved it!!

Made it in instant pot

A little bland at first…shredded the meat and let it marinate for 24/hrs, mucho better! Family loved it! Will make again and maybe kick up the spice a little.

Added 16 oz turkey broth, 32 oz beef broth 1tsp coriander and 1 tomato, 2 ACV

First time making this, so good, the meat was super tender, the juice from the stew was very tasty, and the lime, onion, cilantro really elevate the flavor. Next time will add a little Cayenne pepper for some heat, picture is the leftovers I will be eating for lunch tomorrow

Very delicious stew, and tacos were savory and rich. Next time, peel the garlic cloves! Halved the recipe, using 2 lbs of chuck roast and 1 lb of bone-in short ribs, and it still made A LOT.
