Instructions
Step 1
Mix all of the bagel ingredients (except colorants) and knead. Separate 40g of dough and add green coloring. Make the rest of the dough red.
Step 2
Cover dough with cling film and let rest for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Divide the red dough into four and shape into balls. Cover with cling film and let rest for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Roll out one red ball into a rectangle, and then roll the rectangle into a sausage shape and pinch to close. Push one side of the dough wide with a rolling pin, and wrap it around the other side, and pinch to close.
Step 5
Roll out the green dough and use a knife to cut tomato top shapes, like irregular stars. Use a bit of water to stick the tops to the red bagels.
Step 6
Cover with cling film and let rest for 40 minutes.
Step 7
Boil 1L of water with 50g of sugar. Cook bagels for 30 seconds on each side.
Step 8
Bake in 190 celsius oven for five minutes uncovered. Then, cover with foil and keep baking for 15 more minutes.
