Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees

Thoroughly butter a 9x9 (or similar sized) baking dish.
Step 3
Alternating, layer potatoes and 8 oz of cheese into your baking dish.
Step 4
In a bowl whisk together milk and cornstarch.
Step 5
Whisk spices into the milk and pour over your potatoes.
Step 6
Top with remaining cheese

Cover and bake until potatoes are fork tender. *Time varies based on potato and thickness*

Optional - Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes to brown the top.
