Step 1
Melt the butter on medium heat until melted once melted lower to low heat until it's brown and foamy.once it reaches this point pour the butter into a large bowl.

Mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Once it is incorporated, it should be a dark brown colour

In a small bowl, mix in your egg and vanilla extract before pouring it into your butter and sugar mixture .

Sift in the baking soda/powder and the flour into your wet ingredients(if it is still too sticky, add some more flour in until it's playable with. DO NOT OVER MIX!

Rest your dough in the fridge for 15-20 mins.

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celcius.
Butter your tray and place a baking sheet

Take out your dough, place some chocolate, and leave some for on top. Separate into equal amounts and place 2 halves of a square of chocolate on top leave some space for them to spread in the oven.

Bake for 11-16 minutes or until the inside is soft and outside is browned

Let them cool for 5-10 mins before eating as it will break away into small crumbs
