Family recipe. This is good by itself or served warm with ice cream. Also a nice breakfast treat. Original recipe includes 1/2 cup raisins, which I omit when I make this.

Instructions
Step 1
Place chopped apples in large mixing bowl and pour sugar over, mix and let sit for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Add melted margarine and mix well. Add eggs and beat well with a wooden spoon.
Step 3
Sift dry ingredients together. Add to apple mixture. Stir in nuts (and raisins if using).
Step 4
Pour into a 13”x9”x2” greased pan. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes.
