Instructions

Step 1
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onions. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain any excess grease.

To the skillet, add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, dried parsley, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, and granulated sugar. Stir well to combine.

Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and stir to incorporate. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

If using fresh basil, stir it into the sauce just before serving for an extra layer of flavor.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 6
Preheat the oven according to the package instructions for the garlic bread. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake as directed until golden and crispy.
Step 7
Spoon the meat sauce over the cooked spaghetti noodles. Serve alongside the hot garlic bread. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley on top of the spaghetti for an extra burst of flavor. Pair with a green salad for a complete meal. Enjoy!
