1 lbground beef
½ cuponions

24 ozsCanned tomatoes
8 ozsTomato sauce
6 ozsTomato paste
2 teaspoonsdried basil
1 teaspoonsalt
8 ozsLasagna noodles
1 tablespooncooking oil
2eggs
2 ½ cupscreamed style cottage cheese
¾ cupgrated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoonsparsley flakes
2 ozsMozzarella cheese
Instructions
Step 1
Cook meat, onion, and garlic powder until meat is brown. Drain off fat.
Step 2
Stir in undrained tomatoes and the next 4 ingredients. Cover. Simmer for 15 minutes. Stir often.
Step 3
Cook noodles according to package instructions. Add oil to avoid noodles from sticking. Drain and rinse noodles.
Step 4
Beat eggs, add cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan, the parsley and 1 teaspoon of pepper.
Step 5
Layer 1/2 the noodles in a 9x13 baking dish. Spread 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture. Add 8 ozs. of the mozzarella cheese and 1/2 of the meat mixture.
Step 6
Repeat layers. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.
Step 7
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes.
