Halloumi Fries and Salsa

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190C Line a baking tray with foil and grease with oil.
Step 2
Get a white chopping board. Cut the halloumi in half and then into 4 pieces, making 8 pieces in total.
Step 3
Put the breadcrumbs onto one plate – add seasonings to this plate, Place the flour onto another plate. On a final plate, break your eggs and whisk with a fork.
Step 4
Dip the halloumi pieces in flour, then in the egg and finally coat in the breadcrumbs. Shake off the excess and lay them on the baking tray.
Step 5
Drizzle them all over with more of the vegetable oil.
Step 6
Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes, turning over once. Remove from the oven when completely cooked through and golden-brown all over.
Step 7
Whilst the halloumi are cooking, make the aioli:
Step 8
grate the garlic and add it to the mayonnaise
Step 9
Add the lemon juice, mustard and salt and pepper
Step 10
Stir well
Step 11
Serve with the halloumi
