Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190’C
Step 2
Cover a tray with foil and oil and sprinkle with 1 tsp of your flour.
Step 3
Add the dry ingredients in a large bowl, mix around with your fingers.
Step 4
Rub in the butter. Add any additions if using
Step 5
Pour in the yogurt and milk and mix it in quickly with a large spoon, then bring the dough together very lightly with your fingertips (handle it very, very gently).
Step 6
Now shape it into one large round loaf or up to 4 mini loaves (check the time – the bigger the loaf, the longer it will take to cook)
Step 7
Put the loaf / loaves on the baking sheet and score a deep cross in the top.
Step 8
Bake for 10 - 30 minutes (depending on size) until the bottom of the loaf sounds hollow when tapped and the top is golden brown, and the centre is firm
