3 Tbspflour
4 cupschicken broth
1 ½ cupsheavy cream
1 tspthyme

For the dumplings
Instructions
Step 1
In a pot melt butter and add in the onions, celery, and carrots. Cook 2-3 minutes until vegetable are tender.
Step 2
Add in minced garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
Add in flour and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 4
Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Step 5
Add in heavy cream and bring to a boil.
Step 6
Add in thyme, salt, and pepper and stir.
Step 7
Add in shredded chicken and switch heat to low.
Step 8
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Step 9
Create a well in the middle of the mixture and add in melted butter and milk.
Step 10
Stir or use hands until just combined.
Step 11
Form dough into balls as big or as little as you prefer.
Step 12
Place dumplings into the pot and keep heat on low.
Step 13
Cover and simmer for 15-18 minutes until your dumplings are cooked through.
Step 14
