Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.

Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.

Spoon about 2 tablespoons of cherry pie filling into the center of each square.

Fold each square in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.

In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg and milk to make an egg wash.

Brush the top of each turnover with the egg wash.

Sprinkle sugar over the turnovers.

Place the turnovers on the prepared baking sheet.
