Instructions

Step 1
Heat milk with butter and 200 ml water in a saucepan. Mix flour with sugar, salt and dry yeast in a bowl. Add the lukewarm liquid and knead with the dough hook for 5 minutes to form a smooth dough. Cover and leave to rest for 45 minutes. Grease the loaf tin.

Step 2
For the filling, mix butter with frozen herbs, salt and pepper. Peel the garlic clove, cut into thin slices, dice finely and also add to the butter. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection: 160 degrees) . Grease the loaf tin (25 x 11 cm) . Knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured work surface and roll out into a rectangle (approx. 45 x 45 cm). Spread the herb butter thinly on top. Sprinkle cheese on top.

Step 3
Cut approx. 25 squares of 8 x 8 cm each. Place the mold upright on the worktop. Always place 4-5 squares on top of each other and place in the form in packets until the form is full. Cover and leave to rest for approx. 15 minutes . Beat the egg and brush the surface with a brush. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes . Leave to cool slightly on a cake rack.
