Step 1
Wash the green beans thoroughly and trim the ends. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Add the green beans to the boiling water and cook for about 6-10 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

Once the green beans are done, immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process and help retain their bright green color.

In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.

Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
