Step 1
Peel the ridge gourds with a peeler.
Step 2
Cut them into carrot slices.
Step 3
Then take a medium sized onion and slice it.
Step 4
Add 1 tbsp of oil to a vessel, once heated, add 1 TSP of cumin & onions and cook the onions until lightly brown.
Step 5
Then add the ridge gourd, salt, chilly powder, pepper, turmeric powder, and 1/2 cup of water and cover with a lid let it cook untill the gourd is soft and mushy & all the water has evaporated.
