Ensaymada

Ensaymada is a popular sweet and indulgent Filipino pastry. It is a soft, buttery, and slightly sweet bread roll, often coiled into a spiral shape. Ensaymada is typically topped with a generous layer of butter, sugar, and grated cheese, which creates a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors. It is a beloved snack, breakfast item, or dessert in Filipino cuisine, enjoyed for its rich and comforting taste. Tips: Ingredients: Use fresh, high-quality ingredients, especially dairy products. Dough: Allow the dough to double in size during rising, and knead it until smooth. Shaping: Roll and shape dough evenly for uniform ensaymadas. Baking: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Toppings: Apply toppings evenly but avoid excess to prevent greasiness. Variations: Experiment with different toppings for unique flavors. Storage: Keep ensaymadas in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or freeze for longer storage. Serving: Enjoy ensaymada warm for the best taste. Practice: Be patient and keep refining your skills with each batch.
