350gplain flour
3 tspbaking powder
160gcaster sugar
85gbutter
melted
240mlwhole milk
2eggs
large
1 tspvanilla extract
4golden delicious apples
peeled and chunked

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180
Step 2
Line a 9x9 square tin with parchment paper
Step 3
Start by making your cinnamon swirl mix. Melt the butter, mix in the sugar and cinnamon, and set aside to cool
Step 4
Sift together the flour, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl
Step 5
Whisk the eggs and vanilla into the milk, then add in the melted butter
Step 6
Toss the apple pieces into the dry ingredients. Then using a slotted spoon, gently and quickly mix the milk and egg mixture into the flour and apples to just combine
Step 7
Pour the mixture into the lined tin
Step 8
Add spoonfuls of the cinnamon swirl mix to the top of the cake, swirling it across the surface - it should stay at the top of the mixture
Step 9
Place in the middle of the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes
Step 10
Whilst the cake is cooking, mix the glaze ingredients together. It should be a thick, spreadable consistency, dropping slowly off a spoon
Step 11
Once the cake is almost completely cool, spread the glaze across the top of the cake.
Step 12
Slice, serve and enjoy!
